Internet Law Sussex

For researchers and students of cyberlaw and Internet regulation. The information law group in IT and IP Law, launched in 2013, led the EC-funded FP7 Internet Science and DG JUSTICE Openlaws projects. The group has strong links to the legal profession through board membership in the Society for Computers and Law and IFCLA conferences. Sussex ITIP Masters degree (LLM), PhD projects, Internet Law and IP Law courses.

India's illiberal Internet blocking

A very useful critical resource on India's blocking policies - will courts rule it too vague to be constitutional? What effect will it have on Internet usage and deployment? The ongoing situation is monitored here by the Centre for Internet and Society.

Essex Centre for Comparative and European Law (EXCCEL) launched

We have a new research centre dedicated in part to ensuring all our Internet-related legal research is in one place, or rather four: Facebook page (do 'Like' us), Twitter feed @exccelessex, the blawg and our new website.
